A software company for travel

Software, built for travel.

Safarware builds and runs enterprise-grade software for the travel industry — two products of its own, and bespoke systems for the agencies that have outgrown them.

If this is your week

An ADM lands three months after the ticket.

The commission table lives in a spreadsheet. Abidjan settles in XOF while head office reports in USD. The reissue that fixed a customer's problem still has not reached the ledger, and the ADM that arrived this morning has no booking left to attach itself to.

If none of that needed explaining, you are in the right place.

The company

Safarware is a software company for the travel industry.

It builds and runs its own products — Safaragent, for travel operations and ticketing, and Safarbooks, for travel-native accounting — used today by agencies across Lebanon, Côte d'Ivoire, DR Congo and Nigeria. It also customizes both, and builds bespoke B2B and B2C systems for large travel businesses.

Run by a team of experts in technology and in the travel business — the people who wrote the software, and people who have spent their careers running agencies. Cloud-native on AWS, from Beirut.

The shape of the problem

What breaks in a travel business.

None of it is exotic. All of it is expensive, and none of it shows up in software built for retail.

You bought three systems. Now someone keeps them in agreement.

A booking tool that stops at the sale. A mid-office tool that starts after it. An accounting package that speaks no travel. The commission lives in one, the credit limit in another, and the ADM in none of them.

The margin moves after the sale. Usually downward.

A fare drifts between quote and issue. A carrier builds its commission into the fare and you pay for it twice. By the time anyone notices, the ticket has flown.

Memos arrive against nothing. Months later.

An ADM turns up long after the ticket, and there is no record left to attach it to — so it becomes a line in a spreadsheet and an argument with the airline nobody has time for.

Credit runs on a phone call. And a good memory.

Branches and sub-agents sell on credit. The limit sits in somebody's head, the wallet balance is yesterday's, and three currencies are in play before anything settles.

The answer

Two systems, and they hold the whole operation.

Safarware builds and runs both. Travel here is sold through networks — head office, branches, sub-agents, settling between themselves and rarely in one currency — and these were built on that shape rather than adapted to it. Each stands on its own, so plenty of agencies run only one.

And they are the same system where it matters.

A booking in Safaragent posts itself into the Safarbooks ledger. The two lines never separate by more than the day it takes to close a booking.

ADM and ACM memos stay in Safaragent, alongside the ticket that caused them. There is no shared login and no single bill: each product is bought and used on its own.

When the product is not the whole answer

Most agencies buy the product. The biggest ones outgrow it.

01 — Customization

Shaped to how you trade.

Both products are ours end to end, so we can shape either one to your commercial rules, your workflows and your integrations — rather than asking you to trade the way it was built.

02 — Build with us

Something of your own.

A B2B portal for your agency network, a B2C storefront, or something that does not exist yet. We build it with you, on the same foundations these two stand on.

What we bring
GDS and NDC normalisation commission tables per provider and per agency issuing rules wallets with authorize-then-capture credit limits double-entry ledger ADM and ACM reconciliation multi-currency with rate history multi-tenant RBAC scoped by branch audit trails public API and sandbox

We are not estimating this work from a specification. We run it in production, every day, for agencies in four countries.
